Welcome to the MLBC Lakers Player Development Academy. This program is aimed to provide a higher level of specialised coaching to players who have demonstrated a desire and potential to advance their skills, that bring energy and effort to their teams, and who we believe will bring that same energy to the program. The program consists of 10 1 hour group sessions with a Championship/Representative experienced basketball coach and assistants, plus individual at home skill development programs.
Criteria for selection for the program includes:
- High game day effort and enthusiasm on court
- A team first attitude
- Consistent attendance at training
- A positive approach to learning and development
- Coachability
- Participation in both Summer & Winter seasons
