How We Play
MLBC Lakers are a family oriented club. Our teams play for fun, fitness, friendship and to compete. We are dedicated to ensuring every child has the chance to play basketball.
While we like to win, even more important to us is that every player enjoys playing and feels welcome, safe and encouraged at all times.
We love to see friends play together, but we also actively encourage players to participate in an appropriate grade for their individual basketball journey. Sometimes this means making new friends, but we believe ultimately this makes the game of basketball more fun and more accessible to everyone.
Our coaches will work to their teams abilities, encouraging skills development and teaching players to work as a team to do their best and at the same time, MLBC Lakers has development coaches that work directly with our volunteer coaches, helping them learn and develop the way they coach their teams.
Player Growth
We love to see our players grow and thrive, from Miniball through Domestic, to Representative Basketball and even representing our state or further. When a player is actively trying to grow, the Lakers will be there to help. We provide opportunities like our open Skills Sessions and our Player Development Academy for those players looking to continue to improve and move forward on a basketball pathway.
MLBC Lakers are proud of our players, and will always support them in their basketball endeavours.
